7.5” Aperture, 1007mm Focal Length f5.3. Excellent condition $1000.00.
Closest you'll get to a refractor view without the refractor price. Crisp, high contrast views for visual and imaging with pin point stars to the edge thanks to the Maksutov meniscus up front.
Included: 10:1 dual speed two inch focuser w/1.25” adapt. Tube rings mounted on a 15” ADM Losmandy dovetail with original Vixen dovetail mounted on top as a handle and for mounting accessories. There is no finder scope. Included extras, Astrozap Flexi-Heat Dew Shield. Bahtinov Focusing Mask, 15” ADM Losmandy dovetail and Orion padded telescope case.
Required Mods, I tightened up the hinge point on both tube rings. I Made two additional tube rings using clear vinyl tubing and large stainless steel screw clamps. 1st just below focuser will not allow the OTA to slide down when rings are loosened to rotate OTA. And the 2nd at the mirror end designed as a counter weight location.
This scope works great for imaging as well as visually. The M42 image 30-30sec subs unguided, and Double Cluster & Comet Pannstars 30-30 sec subs unguided.
Don’t forget, our astronomy season is just around the corner. This scope at $1000 is half the price of a New one. Pair this up with the EQ6R above you’ll be rocking the season.
