I really hate being the bearer of bad news... (although I suppose this comes as no surprise to anyone), but it's now inescapable that there's no avoiding the rain/clouds/thunderstorms this evening.

*TONIGHT'S SIDEWALK ASTRONOMY EVENT IS CANCELED.*

On a more positive note... I've just made arrangements with the Sarasota Audubon Society, and (weather-permitting) we'll set up our telescopes at the Celery Fields on Saturday, June 23rd for observing Saturn during its closest approach to Earth this year! (see the flyer for details!)
