Eclipse observing Oct 14th?

Hi all! I just noticed recently that our area will have 60% coverage during the upcoming eclipse on the 14th. I think it will be from noon to 3 PM our time. Wondering if that would be interesting enough for a public viewing somewhere? For this one, I'm going to watch it using a camera with a solar filter. I could hook that up to a monitor and folks can watch the progress safely on the screen. Just a thought!
